Songs that get you through the day

Have you ever had one of the days where you wish you could just crawl in a hole somewhere and never come out? Have you ever had a really bad day and then turn on the radio and the song that's playing seems to speak to you and you either start smiling or have a good cry while singing it? When i have days like that I put on my iPod and turn on two songs that just makes me feel better. The first one is Bad Day by Daniel Powter and the other is You Are Loved(Don't Give Up) by Josh Groban. They both make me feel better by the end of the song.
Have you ever been so mad that you just want to break stuff or scream at the top of your lungs? The songs that get me through are One Step Closer by Linkin Park and then Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit. So, those are some songs that help me when my days not going well. Try these out next time you have one of those days. What are your songs of inspiration?

Right now I'm working on creating a forum that will hopefully become a gathering place for all of those who love vampire romance books as much as I do and well anything vampire related and if people want I will put a categorie for other paranormal things like werewolves/shapeshifters, angels, gods, demons and ghosts.
If you're like me then when you finish a new book you are dying to talk to someone about it. Plus it will be a place where you can chit chat and get to know like minded people. On the forum itself it will have book series categories and author categories. I will also put fun things like a place to put songs and music that remind you of vampires and other paranormal things, cause I'm always putting together playlists of songs that remind me of books or characters and such. I'm still working on ideas for it so if you have a suggestion then feel free to comment. I'm not a total expert on every vampire romance book so suggestions and recommendation for new books and other things that you would like to see on the forum I will take into consideration and will most likely put on the forum if it keeps with the theme.

So that is my update for this time. When the forum is up and running I will link it on here so you can find it easily.

A Twilight Playlist..music that inspires imagination

I love the Twilight series and this is a playlist I put together of just some of the songs that I think describe the books well and scenes and the people in them. I put them in order of the books. I made this before Breaking Dawn came out so i will add songs for that book later. The first song on here is a funny take on Edward's version of when he first met Bella in Bio class, Midnight Sun. Then all the songs that for Twilight follow after. "I'll Follow You Into The Dark" starts the New Moon songs and "Headstrong" starts the Eclipse songs. Some are songs I think fit Edward, some fit Jacob, some fit Bella and some fit all the Cullens or werewolves. So listen and enjoy and get Twilight Inspired. :) Plus there are some beautiful songs on here.

Why I read Vampire/Paranormal Romance novels

Yeah so I have really gotten into reading paranormal romances, a.k.a Vampire romances, lately. My husband asked me the other day why I find such nonsense so appealing and why not read books that have to do with real life or informative in some way. This is a question I have been asked by many people over the years, and I often get defensive about my books when people ask it but I decided to take a different approach and really think about how to answer it. I chewed on it for a while and I found the answer was simple. It is an escape!
As a mom and wife and an American citizen and human being in this crazy world I have so many responsibilities and so many things I worry over that i find myself often sick to my stomach over most things. My stress level is the highest it's ever been right now cause of the current economic crisis and world events that seem to be spinning out of control all around us. I have two young children that i have to worry about and take care of everyday. I worry over them starting school and if I've done enough to prepare them for it and the challenges they face. I worry over my husband's job and the fact that his job is not doing well and he could very well be out of work soon and then what do we do? I have a house to maintain and no dishwasher at the moment so i have to spent extra time hand washing every dish we own everyday. I watch the news at night with my husband, FOX news only, and it often leaves me more scared, stressed and sick by the time it's over. Then there's the doomsday theory of 2012 being the end of the world and we all die, that the history channel likes to play over and over again late at night so that i dream about awful thing happening to family all night. We have a government that is making stupid decisions everyday and is ruining my childrens future of a few generations to come.
So back the point, why would I, after everyday of worry and stress, want to pick up a book that is about current events, true life stories where people have tragic ends and heartbreaking stories or informative books that tell me I will never be anything cause I don't have money. This is why at the end of the day I curl up, put my iPod headphones on and bury myself into a fantasy world where no matter what happens you know it will always be a happy ending. Every Romance novel is a guaranteed happy ending and along the way you get the intimacy, love, sex and commitment that real marriages just don't have anymore. Men are the way they are supposed to be, strong protectors who are confident, and women are they way they're supposed to be, strong yet nurturing and compassionate. Not the politically correct way that the real world tell us it should be.
Now, why I choose to read about Vampires? They are the ultimate male, alpha males. Because vampires live outside the world. They are untouched by plagues and STDs, have super strength, supernatural powers, they are almost completely indestructible, they will never die so there's no reason to fear anything and you know that if you are with a vampire who loves you, you will be safe and no one can touch you either. They live by their animal instincts, which most humans, mainly men, have lost now. They are what every woman whats and every man wants to be. They are the ultimate human. To be able to watch this world change throughout the centuries, have ultimate health, beauty, youth and to know that this world will never hurt you. As for the whole drinking blood thing, most books now a days don't have them killing humans hardly at all. Like us they have evolved with the times and in most books they use blood banks or if they do feed on a human it a pleasurable often sexual thing and the human is not hurt at all but enjoys it. And even with the books that have them killing humans, like Twilight, there is always the struggle and torture of having to do so and it raise good questions as well that we as human have to ask ourselves.
So that is why I dive into these books and get lost in them for as long as i can. And I'm not the only one who thinks this way. In fact there is an article about it that shows that Romance novels in general have seen a surge in sales because of the economic problem.

New Moon Trailer!

So, I watched the MTV Movie Awards just to see the New Moon trailer the other day. Here's my opinion on it. First of all the special affects look sooooo much better in this one. I loved how they showed the whole birthday scene and I like the way they make it look. The best part of the trailer was when Jacob turned into a werewolf. I had be dying to see how they were going to do it and if they were going to stay true to the book and make him a real wolf not half man half wolf like other werewolf movies do. The only thing I didn't like about the trailer was that I thought they gave too much away in it. I mean we see the whole birthday scene, we see Edward leaving Bella, then we see Laurent almost killing Bella and Jacob turning in a werewolf. What I mean is your not supposed to know Jacob is a werewolf till towards to middle of the book and it's supposed to be a big shock and I think they take that shock away by showing it. Yes, I know that everyone who has watched anything about the Twilight movie already knows but still that was one of the great things about the book, it was so the shocking. So my review for this trailer is a five star cause it looks so much better then the first movie. I really hope they come out with a trailer showing the Italy scenes soon. That's the best part in the whole book anyway. I will say this, Taylor makes one hot Jacob and his muscles are very yummy. In the books of course I'm Team Edward all the way but, although i love Rob, and think he is a good choice for Edward, he still isn't the dazzling, dignified Edward I picture in my mind, and so I find myself more attracted to Jacob in the movies. And that's just not right! lol Edward is supposed to be better looking and Jacob is supposed to be the annoying dog who just won't go away..lol but oh well..lol so watch teh trailer and tell me what you thought of it. TEAM EDWARD!!! Whoooo! lol
